Our Team


Joe has been with BBI since the inception of the company in 1978 and, as President, is responsible for general oversight of all business functions. Joe and his wife of twenty-two years, Radha, have a teenaged son named Ian who fills their lives with excitement and joy each day. Joe and his family travel whenever they get the chance, but are always happy to return home to beautiful Gainesville, Florida.

Senior Project Manager/ VP

Chris is a Senior Project Manager.  He comes to us from San Antonio, Texas but his roots are here.  Chris graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1990 & went on to get his Bachelor’s in Construction Management from Rinker at the University of Florida in 2003.   Chris brings with him a wide range of project management experience and will assist in mentoring and training other operations personnel at BBI.  His main goal is to expand BBI’s project portfolio.   Chris is LEED Certified, has a Certificate of Management in Lean Construction as well as his General Contractor’s License. He loves coaching all sports and spending time mentoring young adults. Chris enjoys fishing and hunting. He is married to his high school sweetheart & they have 5 children ranging from 11 to 20.

Accounting Manager

Lisa has been with BBI for going on four years and is responsible for all things financial within the company. Originally from Naples, Lisa has lived in the High Springs/Gainesville area for more than seventeen years. Family is the most important thing in Lisa’s life, including her three grown children and two adorable granddaughters. Lisa also loves watching all the college football games each season. Go Gators!

Senior Project Manager
Senior Estimator

Jason is a Senior Estimator who is responsible for all aspects of estimating costs and pre-construction services for BBI Construction. He graduated from the University of Florida and has a background specializing in project management and estimating. Jason has success overseeing all phases of multimillion dollar construction projects that include retail, high-rise residential, schools and parking garages. Jason is LEED AP Certified. He enjoys running, fishing and watching football. He is married and has two children.

Project Manager

Robert is from Alachua and has lived in the area his whole life. He has worked at BBI for nearly four years and is responsible for managing all phases of assigned construction projects. Robert is happily married to his highschool sweetheart and enjoys spending time outdoors.

Credentials: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Construction Management from the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management at the University of Florida; LEED Accredited Professional

Project Manager

Jeremy grew up in Interlachen and has been a Gainesville resident for ten years. In his role as Project Manager, Jeremy is involved with the procurement, construction and closeout phases of BBI projects. Jeremy and his wife have a son and two dogs and they enjoy running and other outdoor activities that they can engage in as a family.

Credentials: Bachelor’s in Geology and Master’s in Construction Management, both from the University of Florida

Project Manager

James (nicknamed “Butch”) originally hails from Montgomery, Alabama, but has lived in Gainesville for twenty-five years. James joined the BBI team in his role as Project Manager four years ago. James has been married for nearly forty years and has three beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren. In his free time James is a guitarist with the South Bound Band and he is also a Licensed Charter Captain.

Assistant Project Manager

Ben grew up in Bradenton but has lived in Gainesville for the past 16 years.  As an Assistant Project Manager, Ben is very involved with multiple projects and assists the Project Managers in the daily aspects of the projects.  Ben and his wife have a 2 year old son who keeps them very busy!  In Ben’s spare time, he enjoys model railroading, carpentry, motorsports, and family road trips.

Credentials:  A.S. Degree in Construction Management from Santa Fe College

Senior Project Superintendent

A Gainesville resident since 1966, Gary has served eight years in his role as Senior Project Superintendent at BBI. In addition to his work in the field, he is frequently involved in BBI’s presentations for future projects. Gary and his spouse, Terri, have been together for thirty years and they enjoy spending time together, traveling and boating.

Credentials: State Certified Building Contractor; Licensed Real Estate Broker; Graduate of Leadership Gainesville; Member of LifeSouth Community Blood Centers Board of Directors; Former District Governor for Citivan International

Senior Project Superintendent

Steve has lived in Gainesville for more than sixty years and has worked in his Project Superintendent role at BBI for five years. In his free time Steve is a huge Gator sports fan and also has a passion for surfing.

Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in BCN, CGCA 11571 inactive license status

Project Superintendent

Originally raised in Palatka, Larry has spent the last ten years in Gainesville and has held his position as a Project Superintendent at BBI for eighteen months. Larry has been married to his wife, Corey for four years and they are currently expecting their first child, a son to be named Nehemiah. Larry is a fan of the Florida Gators, home renovation and spending time with family and friends from church.

Project Superintendent

Russ is Florida native, growing up in Deland while spending the last 20 years in Gainesville.  He began his career with BBI in May 2016 as an Project Superintendent.

Russ enjoys anything he can do with his son that involves the outdoors such as hunting, fishing, camping & boating.

Project Superintendent
Red has lived in the Gainesville area for twenty-five plus years and serves as project superintendent. His role with BBI is to provide direct site supervision for each project to ensure all field operations are completed on time. Red is married to his best friend, Pam and his greatest joy is to spend time with his family. He enjoys fishing, hunting and watching Gator Football.

Tim has lived in this area this entire life. He is a civil superintendent with over 17 years of experience in the construction industry. Tim is a heavy equipment operator, FDOT certified and holds multiple other certifications for civil construction. He enjoys hunting, mudding and spending time with his three boys.

Assistant Superintendent
Born and raised in High Springs, Florida, Rip has been in construction most of his life. Rip works as an assistant superintendent for BBI and provides on-site supervision for our projects. He is a quick learner and has taken a leadership role in all aspects of his duties. Rip plans on working with BBI while obtaining his bachelor’s degree in construction management at the University of Florida.
BIM Coordinator/ Assistant Project Manager
Yash provides Building Information Modeling services on our projects as well as provides design concepts for our clients. His role also includes assisting the project management teams working within the projects both on site and in the office. He has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the School of Architecture, Rajiv Gandhi University, M.P. India. He is a registered Architect and a proud member of the Council of Architecture, India. He also has a Master of Science in Construction Management from the University of Florida Rinker School of Construction Management. He is a traveler, hobbyist chef, an artist and a philatelist. He has a huge collection of pre and post-independence Indian stamps. He also enjoys reading, writing and on weekends creating clay pottery.
Project Assistant
Michelle has grown up and lived in Gainesville her entire life. She serves as Project Assistant for BBI and assists with the preparation and coordination of administrative functions on a daily basis. She has a passion for construction as she grew up in the construction industry with over twelve years’ experience in the electric industry dealing with subcontractors, work flow and customer service. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration specializing in Marketing. She enjoys being on the water, listening to live music, spending time with her family, she is dedicated to her faith and loves the Florida Gators.
Accounting Assistant
Kaitlyn’s role with BBI is primarily in the accounting department assisting the Accounting Manager as well as providing administrative support to the management staff. She graduated high school in 2013 from Newberry High School and has earned her Associate of Arts degree from Santa Fe College in 2015. She is currently working on her Bachelors of Science degree in Organizational Management from Santa Fe College. Family is number one in her life and she desires to travel the world.
