Kappa Kappa Gamma Additions and Remodeling

The project consisted of both new construction and a renovation. The new 5,000 SqFt two-story addition provides a chapter room, dining room, and additional housing for the growing sorority. Additionally, the existing building experienced over 3,300 sq. ft. of renovation, including a new HVAC system and kitchen equipment. Through project coordination and planning, BBI is was to account for the very limited site space and utilize a “just-in time” delivery of material schedule. The project also incorporated a schedule that was fast tracked to permit the project to acquire completion prior to the arrival of the students for the fall semester.

City of Gainesville Administration Building

The project is the design-build of a hurricane hardened, LEED certified, two-story, 16,700 SqFt. administration office building at the City of Gainesville Public Works compound. Major building components include underground utilities, composite concrete tilt wall system, hollow core floor and roof slabs, insulated roof with garden roof system, low emissivity impact resistant glass, premium interior finishes, mechanical air conditioning, building automation system, electrical distribution, interior and exterior lighting, emergency power, telecommunications and data system and audio/visual components.

Infinite Energy Phase IV

This project is a multi-story complex building with threshold structural elements of 36,000 GSF to construct. The interior of the building included high sloped ceilings, premium interior finishes, custom millwork, telecommunications and audio/visual systems. The projects mechanical system consisted of a chilled water system complete with air handlers, chillers and a gas fired boiler for heat. This buildings unique shape and intense schedule made for a challenging and dynamic project.
