Rod Whiteside serves as Senior Superintendent at BBI Construction Management with more than 20 years of experience delivering construction management and general contracting projects across higher education and institutional facilities. He specializes in complex renovation and modernization projects within active campus environments, including rapid-turnaround “Summer Slam” projects completed during academic breaks.
Rod has led a wide range of projects including elevator modernizations, roofing replacements, HVAC system upgrades, structural improvements, and large-scale student housing renovations. One of his most notable projects was the University of Florida Keys Housing renovation, where his team completed 120 bathroom renovations and replaced 60 HVAC systems within a 63-day construction schedule.
Originally from Canada, Rod moved to North Central Florida as a teenager and has spent his entire career in the construction industry. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, kayaking, mountain biking, and cheering on the Florida Gators.
