The Alachua County Library District Headquarters required significant exterior modernization to address aging roofing systems, ongoing water intrusion concerns, and long-term building envelope performance issues.
The project involved complete removal of the existing clay tile roof system, replacement of all skylights, exterior repainting, storefront replacement at the upper cupola, and targeted landscape improvements across the active public facility.
Because the library remained fully operational throughout construction, BBI had to carefully coordinate work around active public access, occupied interior spaces, weather exposure risks, and ongoing daily library operations.
