Peaceful Paths Dutton-Schilling Campus

Peaceful Paths · Gainesville, FL

Building a facility designed to support safety, healing, and new beginnings.

BBI partnered with Peaceful Paths to construct the Dutton-Schilling Campus, a facility designed to expand residential services, strengthen community support programs, and provide a more secure environment for survivors of domestic violence and their families.

The project transformed a long-term vision into reality, creating a dedicated campus that allows Peaceful Paths to serve more individuals, improve access to resources, and support its mission of ending domestic violence in our communities.

THE CHALLENGE

Creating a facility that could expand services and strengthen community impact.

Peaceful Paths needed a facility capable of supporting its growing mission while providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for survivors transitioning toward independence and stability.

The new campus was envisioned as more than a building. It was designed to connect residential services with ongoing outreach programs, improve access to community resources, and create opportunities for long-term support and recovery.

The project represented years of planning, fundraising, community advocacy, and partnership development before construction began. Peaceful Paths selected BBI to help bring that vision to life.

THE BBI APPROACH

Construction focused on supporting the client’s mission.

BBI worked closely with Peaceful Paths, the design team, and project stakeholders to deliver a facility aligned with the organization’s goals, budget, and long-term operational needs.

Throughout construction, the team maintained close communication and coordination to ensure the project remained focused on the ultimate objective: creating a safe and functional environment that would directly support the people Peaceful Paths serves.

BBI coordinated:

  • Site development and construction activities
  • Stakeholder communication
  • Schedule management
  • Budget oversight
  • Quality control
  • Nonprofit project coordination
  • Occupancy readiness planning

The result was a facility designed to support both immediate needs and future growth for the organization and the community.

PROJECT OUTCOMES

A facility built to serve people, not just programs.

The completed Dutton-Schilling Campus expanded Peaceful Paths’ ability to provide residential services, outreach programs, and ongoing support for survivors and their families.

Today, the facility serves as a lasting community resource and a physical representation of Peaceful Paths’ commitment to safety, healing, empowerment, and hope. Through collaboration, planning, and disciplined execution, BBI helped transform a vision into a place where lives can be rebuilt and futures can be strengthened.
