Rod is originally from Canada, but moved to this area when he was 15 years old. He has spent his entire career in construction and truly loves it. Rod has learned many trades and has continued his career into supervisory and management positions. Rod is one of BBI’s Senior Superintendents who helps to manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring a successful final project that is delivered in a timely manner.  Rod is a true outdoor enthusiasts. He enjoys fishing, kayaking, mountain biking and many other activities. Oh and we can’t forget the fact he is a huge Florida Gators Football fan.

This Senior Superintendent is glad to be back in Gainesville. After raising his 3 boys in Tampa, Steve has returned to Gainesville to continue his career. With over 35 years of hands on construction experience, he is a great asset to our BBI team. Steve has a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida and attended the US Army Corps of Engineering specializing in Construction Quality Management. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and especially his wife “LEE” who he has been with for over 30 years!

John, our Project Engineer, has lived in Gainesville since 2010. He graduated Santa Fe College in 2011 with an AA in Building Construction then moved on to the University of Florida where he graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability & the Build Environment. He is a USGBC LEED Green Associate. Many locals may recognize him since he worked at Lowes as a Millwork Sales Specialist prior to joining the BBI family.  John was a Boy Scout for most his life and in 2009 received his BSA Eagle Scout Award. He enjoys shooting sports and is a diehard Gator football fan – which makes his family proud, since this entire family are UF Alumni.

Bret has been a Gainesville native since 2009. He joined the BBI team in 2014 as an Assistant Superintendent and he helps to assist with subcontractor coordination, job site supervision, owner-contractor relations and everything in between. Bret holds his OSHA safety certification.  With his spare time he enjoys beach volleyball, going to the range and is very active with his church.

Kaitlyn’s role with BBI is in the accounting department assisting the Accounting Manager as well as providing administrative support to the management staff. She graduated high school in 2013 from Newberry High School and has earned her Associate of Arts degree from Santa Fe College in 2015. She is currently working on her Bachelors of Science degree in Organizational Management from Santa Fe College. Family is number one in her life and she desires to travel the world.

Russ is Florida native, growing up in Deland while spending the last 20 years in Gainesville.  He began his career with BBI in May 2016 as an Project Superintendent.

Russ enjoys spending time with his son and family, and also enjoys many outdoor activities such as golf, hunting, fishing, camping & boating.

Originally raised in Palatka, Larry came to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida. He has been a Project Superintendent at BBI since 2014. Larry and his wife Corey have one son. Larry is a fan of the Florida Gators, home renovation and spending time with family and friends from church.

Jeremy grew up in Interlachen as a child and then moved to Gainesville to attend the Universtiy of Florida. In his role as Project Manager, Jeremy is involved with the procurement, construction and closeout phases of BBI projects. Jeremy and his wife have two sons, two dogs and they enjoy running and other outdoor activities that they can engage in as a family.

Credentials: Bachelor’s in Geology and Master’s in Construction Management, both from the University of Florida

Lisa has been with BBI since 2012 and is responsible for all things financial within the company. Originally from Naples, Lisa has lived in the High Springs/Gainesville area for more than twenty years. Family is the most important thing in Lisa’s life, including her three grown children and four adorable grandchildren. Lisa also loves watching all the college football games each season. Go Gators!
